Why Use Organic?

Clean, nourish and protect skin with the best that nature provides without harmful toxic chemicals.

Skin Basics: Skin is the largest organ of the human body. It absorbs 60% of the ingredients used everyday. Most people use 10 personal care products daily. The average number of ingredients absorbed is 126. These products seep through the skin, rinse down the drain and are cause for concern for human health and the impact on the environment. Read ingredient labels & refer to the following *EWG, Environmental Working Group.org and SkinDeep.org

Three Kinds of Personal Care Products

  1. ORGANIC: Vegetable oils and butter are processed at or below 120 degrees retaining the nourishing, hydrating, antibacterial and protecting qualities.
  2. “NATURAL”: Oils and butters may be processed as high as 1000 degrees destroying most of what is good about the vegetable ingredient. Some “natural” companies use products like lanolin that si scraped from the skin of the sheep often after pesticides have been used to get rid of ticks.
  3. PETROCHEMICALS: Emollients used on skin come from the same factory that makes gas for cars. Research has shown that these are cancer producers or contributors and that the chemicals accumulate in the body’s organs.

Sweet P’s uses Organic Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel, and Olive Oil. We use an ECOCERT preservative that contains no parabens (toxic chemicals). This preservative is safe for humans as well as safe for the environment. Our products are sodium laureth sulfide free. These are the same chemicals used to strip floors as well make products suds like shampoos and body wash. Our products contains no pthalates (chemicals that alter human hormones) , toxic chemicals or plasticizers. We also recycle containers and provide refills.
